Reasons to Buy a PC

It can be very easy these days to be persuaded by the advertisements on television and the sleek innovative designs of products instead of their actual value. But if you are like me, finding a great deal on something that I simply need without anything I do not need is a lot more important than paying a lot for something that everyone else thinks is cool that year. This is my number one reason why people should wake up and buy a PC instead of a Mac. The Personal Computer is simply cheaper than a Mac. It’s the reason why people still choose PC and why it is still a more practical decision than a Mac. Everything from the battery to the adapter is cheaper to replace than its competitor. The Dell TD347 battery is only sixty dollars to replace while a Mac battery will run you double that for no reason other than the brand.

Comparing the Windows 7 operating system with the Leopard operating system can be a difficult thing to do if you haven’t used both. I can say that Leopard may run a little smoother at times, and it does use a little less memory than Windows 7, but the fact is, you will have to learn how to use it all over again. The new features of Leopard are great and rather useful once you learn them, but it can take up to a few months for you to understand all the new shortcuts and finger movements it takes to make Leopard better. If you don’t want to figure out all the new features that might give you a headache, stick with what you know.

Another reason can be that the power supply in your laptop. I know this might be a small reason compared to the previous argument, but let us compare the prices. If you lose the HP 402018 001 power supply that comes with your new HP laptop, a replacement will run you just under 30 dollars if you buy it in the electronics store and about half that if you buy it online. A Mac power supply will again run you double the HP one for no reason.

I’m not going to sit here and tell you that Mac is a poor product because it is an exceptional computer company that makes top of the line laptops, but they are simply too expensive. Everything from the casing itself to the technical specifications cost more for the same specs in a PC. The td347 Dell battery works just as well and doesn’t cost double. So if you have extra money, buy a Mac, but if you don’t, stick with that PC.
